Updated: Dec 10, 2020

Following the fire break lockdown, the University of South Wales has implemented new restrictions to ensure social distancing around all four campuses.

Although face-to-face learning is continuing as planned, there are some facilities that will be restricted, as well as changes to campus opening times.

Atrium, Cardiff.

Some of the university facilities will be closing for the time being, due to the new restrictions.

From 6 pm today until Monday 9 November the following facilities are affected:

• The Sports Centre on our Treforest campus will be closed.

• The Students’ Union facilities at each campus will close (including The Randy Dragon and Reflections in Treforest) however the SU shop on the Treforest campus will remain open from 8 am to 10 pm, seven days a week. SU staff and officers can still be easily contacted.

• Libraries will be open as usual (Monday - Friday, 8.30 am - 4.30 pm), for essential and planned visits. Please remember to wear a face covering. ‘Request and Collect’ for printed books will be available, as will access to borrow and return loaned laptops. Study spaces will remain open, for individual study only (no group bookings). Study spaces need to be pre-booked via Connect2.

• Our catering facilities will remain open but will move to offer a take-away only service.
